I've purchased many Kingston flash drives, and I've only ever had one DOA (though they issued an RMA promptly - good service). It was a 2GB, and I worried about the quality of their higher-capacity drives after that. However, the price on this 8GB was good, so I took the plunge and bought two. I have not been disappointed with either one! In fact, the write speed is about twice what I usually see on my 1GB versions of this drive! The Kingston flash drives always work right out of the package no matter what system you use. PC or MAC, I have used many of the 1 GB drives and decided to go to an 8 GB to save having so many smaller drives. Very satisfied with all of them.

I work in the schools on computers and this is my main tool. I have carried this in my pocket along with keys, change, etc. for two years and sure it's scuffed up on the outside but still works perfectly. This thing does not work well with macs. It has caused many headaches. If freezes opened files, but you will not know this until you've done your work and you try to save it AHHHH!!! I have two macs and it has the same problem. I tried it to my buddy's brand new mac and it froze the whole thing. It's no problem when you are dragging files in and out manually, the problem is when you open files within it using applications.
