The widescreen format gives you 70% more actual screen area than a 3.5-inch screen. Primarily this translates into a better view of the area through which you are driving. This is especially useful in showing you what parks, restaurants, ATM, gas stations, etc. are nearby, or in letting you know whether a detour is a good idea. Also, the device itself is larger, meaning controls on the screen are more widely spaced and somewhat easier to push.

The nüvi 660 features travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, MP3 player, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. It also comes with Garmin Lock, an anti-theft feature, and configurable vehicle icons that let you select car-shaped graphics to show your location on the map.
This device is compatible with optional content plug-ins available via SD card, such as the Garmin Travel Guides and Garmin SaversGuide provide detailed data for attractions and information on nearby merchants offering discounts, so you can customize nüvi for your travel needs

I have had several GPS models and the Nuvi 660 is one that I have no concerns about getting me to my destination. It is reliable, efficient and so easy to operate. My directionally challenged wife no longer has any fear of getting lost and will take off to see our children and grandchildren at a moments notice in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex if I am unable to go with her. We do not leave town without it.

I bought this GPS for my husband's birthday. It has performed far better than we expected. It has met all of our needs. The bluetooth and music (MP3) options work great. We have found it to be accurate and provide the searches needed while traveling. Also, we are new to the area where we are currently living so looking up stores, services, etc. have proved invaluable to us.

I bought this gps for my wife, and it seems to be working pretty well. We had a Magellan Maestro before this one, and this one is a little bit slower to load initially, which is probably the only notable con to it. I like it because you can point your finger at a map (when you don't have an address, but basically know the geographical location), and you're able to get directions from there (which you couldn't with the Magellan). I bought this product after my TomTom Navi has been stolen. Although I was mostly happy with my TomTom I decided for this product because I wanted to have a comparison with other products and also because the Point odf Interest Database in TomTom is not that good.
I rate this product with three stars because it essentially gets you from start to destination with reasonable precision but it has a number of small flaws. Here the details in comparison to TomTom Go 920:

- easy (very easy) to setup and use
- Hands free calling using Bluetooth capability
- FM transmitter: will push out voice prompts via FM to your car stereo. The traffic alert is also amazing! It prompts you about traffic jam ahead, any accident, weather condition, etc. Unbelievable the difference bet. before and after owning a GPS w/ traffic alert.
