This filter is really nice, have used it at my Florida condo for about a month now and still on the orig. unit. I use about 2-3 gallons a day and its a pleasure to use after using the Brita Water pitcher system. This unit is smaller than the other faucet filters and is metal not plastic and really easy to install. I like the auto shutoff feature so I dont run hot water through it by accident. The Culligan filter is more reliable and lasts longer than the Pur or the GE filters but it is also the slowest filter in terms of water flow.

Honestly it did take a couple of days for me to get used to the taste (I had been purchasing large water jugs) but it's not a bad taste, just not bottled water. Very easy to install and very easy to replace. I bought it b/c others mentioned the "default" is "no filter" so it makes it really easy when washing dishes. I live in an apartment and this was the perfect, temporary, inexpensive fix. I will say Amazon is one of the only places I can find the filter replacements, so stock up if you can.

I bought my first Culligan filter at Sutherland. When I moved in to Houston, I cannot find any Sutherland store so I tried Amazon.com and I'm very happy that I can still buy this item. Thanks Amazon.com!!! I like this filter ever since I bought it. I hope that Culligan is improving their product everytime. I don't want to get sick just because of a dirty water.
